Laura | Maternity

I had so much fun working with Laura. She asked if she could bring along her pregnant BFF instead of her husband and I was happy to oblige. I am so glad she came! We had many laughs and it was a fun twist on a maternity session. I can’t wait for our next sessions together.

Light of Mine Photography's dedication to your safety - COVID-19

Light of Mine Photography has always used precautionary measures in regards to maintIaining a safe, clean and healthy environment. As the threat of the novel coronavirus grows, I want to assure my clients that I am taking every precaution to ensure the health of your little one and family.

I never come to work sick. If I am showing signs of any illness our session will be postponed. If the session is time sensitive i.e. a fresh 48 or birth I will send a backup photographer in my place. In the same manner I ask that you please do not come to a session if you have been been experiencing or have been near an individual experiencing any of the following symptoms - cough, sore throat, fever. Your safety and the safety of other clients is my top priority and I am happy to reschedule sessions when needed.

I always practice hand hygiene the way I was trained in nursing school. This includes washing my hands and forearms and utilizing hand sanitizer frequently. I have added an extra bottle of sanitizer to my studio for easy access for everyone.

In addition we will now be wiping down all equipment (lenses, camera bodies, camera bags etc.) after every use. I have always laundered blankets and wraps after each session and will continue to do so with extra care.

It is not only our job to capture new life but our duty to do what we can to protect it.

Light of Mine Photography is now offering in home lifestyle sessions to those who are not comfortable with traveling.

Miranda | Maternity

The last maternity session I did for Miranda was on a beach. This one was a bit different. For starters.. it was a lot colder. Dave (husband) was the one who reminded her she needed to schedule a maternity session. (go Dave!) And there was a whole lot more love. Jaxen is bigger and much more open to chatting with me than he was 4 years ago. Mireya is actually here now and has so much personality. They were both total troopers for the session and you can already see the love for their new sister on the way. I am beyond excited to document her arrival in just a couple of weeks!

Clara | Newborn

I have just been loving all the sweet baby girls I have been having in my studio the last couple of weeks. It has been the perfect excuse to use all the florals and spring colors. This baby (and her fur sister) were wonderful.

Without further ado - Clara Lu

Katie | Maternity

Let me start this post by saying

This was an adventure

For me at least. Katie and Jermey love winter and the outdoors. When trying to decide where we should do maternity photos she expressed she was really hoping for a winter scene but that it didn’t look too promising. (Remember a few weeks ago when we weren’t sure if winter was coming? Well it has since came!) I suggested doing the session at the falls but I knew it wasn’t easy getting to especially in the winter. She was up for it and so that’s what we did!

Upon getting to the falls, I noticed that most of the vehicles were parked outside of the parking lot on the side of the road. I was about to do the same and then thought, there’s a tiny car parked in there.. I can definitely make it in there with an SUV. I was wrong. So they arrive and Jeremy immediately starts helping get my vehicle out of the snow. Shout out to Jeremy and.. the 4 other strangers who helped get me out. And shout out to my husband - Please put on my new tires.

We grab our snow shoes and start walking. They are obviously pros at this have have all sorts of gear. I on the other hand, have only been snowshoeing one other time and certainly not down a giant hill. Thankfully, I do not have a pride issue and was able to laugh at myself fumbling to get my snow shoes on and sliding down a good portion of the hill on my butt. I even got a “are you from around here?” Yes. Yes I am. I am just not coordinated, or athletic and not really a huge fan of winter. hahaha

In the end I had a great time. These photos are gorgeous. It was 100% worth making a fool of myself in all the ways that I did. And now, enjoy a highlight reel of those events.

And as promised, the good stuff. :)

Lenora | Newborn

Lenora and her big sister Gretchen were simply perfect for our session together. I joked that from now on when someone wants to include their fur baby in the session I will just have Gretchen come in and pose with baby then head swap their dog’s face. 😂

Miles | Fresh 48

Fresh 48 sessions have turned into one of my favorite kind of sessions. I absolutely loved watching Autumn meet her baby brother. These moments are so new, so fresh, so raw.

Let me help you recall the details long after they may be forgotten. <3

Due to the on call nature of Fresh 48 photography, availability is limited. If you are looking for a CNY (Syracuse, Pulaski, Rome, Oneida, Watertown, Camden and surrounding areas) Fresh 48 Photography session - Inquire Here!

Marcelina | Newborn

With New York deciding that it’s finally ready to start winter.. I am ready for it to be over. During this session all I could think of was spring. Give me all the flowers, pastels, just give me some warmer weather! Marcelina wanted to just hang out during her session and slept for maybe 30 mins total. I enjoyed the extra snuggles and went right to work when she finally caved in.
